Rachael is the Marketing and Communications Partner at Spark Capital.
Previously, Rachael was the director of technology communications at Facebook, Inc. where she led communications strategies for the core Facebook app which included the launch of new consumer experiences like 360 video and Live video. Rachael also oversaw the media partnerships communications strategy as well as the brand communications team at Facebook.
Rachael joined Facebook from Twitter, where she spent four years helping to build the communications team and develop the marketing and communications strategy related to the product, consumer outreach and media content. Rachael joined Twitter when there were about 400 or so employees and helped to guide the company through massive growth and its initial public offering.
Prior to that, Rachael spent time at communications agencies including Cutline Communications and Fleishman-Hillard. Her primary client for over four years was Google where she supported the launch and ongoing communications for products that included Google Apps, Gmail, Android, Search and others. Rachael also spent a considerable amount of time focused exclusively on supporting the communications and policy team at YouTube.
Rachael has been named one of PR Week’s Innovation 50 and one of Business Insider’s best public relations people in the tech industry. She received her degree in Political Science and Program on the Environment from the University of Washington.
