Ekin focuses on Spark’s growth stage investments.
Ekin enjoys working with entrepreneurs who are passionate about solving major pain points through beautifully crafted products while understanding the fundamental economics of scaling and competition. He looks for companies across both consumer and enterprise. He is especially interested in companies that are building platforms through software, networks and marketplaces.
Before joining Spark in 2014, Ekin was an investment banker at Credit Suisse, where he focused on equity offerings as well as mergers and acquisitions primarily in the tech and telecom sectors. Prior to Credit Suisse, he held various roles at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
Ekin holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Chicago. He is a passionate soccer fan and also enjoys coding and the culinary arts.
